Cucumbi Farm
Just an hour outside Lisbon, about 30 minutes inland from the coast, Cucumbi Farm is nestled in the stunning Alentejo countryside. Known for its rolling hills, traditional villages and beautiful landscapes, it’s the perfect setting for those seeking tranquility. The 112-hectare property features serene walking trails, a peaceful lake with a pier, and ample spaces to unwind, including a saltwater pool. Enjoy farm to table nourishing meals, thoughtfully prepared to support your body’s needs and help you feel your best throughout your stay.




Your Host
Cecily Chun is a much loved and respected Melbourne based yoga and meditation teacher. The founder of The Yoga Group, she offers classes, workshops, teacher training programs and retreats around the world. Cecily’s positive attitude, upbeat teaching style and warming nature is welcomed by all. With over 19 years of teaching experience, her passion for teaching and sharing her knowledge is evident. Her classes are introspective, intuitive and nurturing and her teachings draw from traditional yoga and integrate her spiritual nature through meaningful movement and breath work.

The Food
With a menu that showcases the beauty of local, organic and fresh ingredients, much of which is served straight from Cucumbi Farm, guests will enjoy three plant-based meals a day in a beautiful restaurant setting or alfresco style watching the sunset. After the morning yoga practice you can expect a generous breakfast will be served at 9.30am of fresh juices, smoothies, locally made sourdough bread, yoghurt, homemade granola, eggs from the farm’s chickens, cheese and fresh fruit. And enjoy a wide array of organic teas, herbal infusions and quality coffee. For lunch you’ll have a chance to refuel with some healthy, savoury treats and at around 6.30pm you’ll be treated to a three-course farm-to-table dinner. Each meal will delight your senses and nourish your body, with a focus on simplicity and wholesomeness.

Rooms and Rates
The farm offers 10 beautiful minimalist rooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, hair dryer, pool towels and organic toiletries from Portuguese brand 8950.
You’ll find double rooms with queen or king-size beds, as well as twin rooms. Some of the rooms are located in spacious apartments that come with their own kitchen, fireplace, and living room.

The single occupancy suites with their inviting décor and serene atmosphere, promise a restful getaway and a relaxing stay in the countryside of Alentejo.

The Deluxe Apartment
This harmoniously decorated apartment is the perfect space for a well-deserved break for a couple. In addition to a kitchenette and fireplace, the apartment also allows you to relax on the terrace and enjoy stunning sunset views over the orchard.

Nestled in nature, the Lake House offers a blend of modern minimalism and the charm of a picturesque lake view. With its three bedrooms and kitchenette, it's ideal for three friends who also want their own private space.

You can get to Lisbon by flying into Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS) for the fastest travel from international destinations, or by taking a train or driving from other parts of Europe. Direct flights are available from major cities worldwide, while trains are a convenient option from neighbouring countries and within Portugal. Driving is also possible, offering scenic routes into the city via major highways.

If you are an Australian citizen visiting Portugal for tourism or business, you do not need a visa for stays under 90 days within any 180-day period.

It is just over an hour drive from Lisbon to Cucumbi Farm. Depending on your arrival time, we can pair you up with other guests to share an Uber.
Prior to the retreat, a Whatsapp group will be created to be able to connect with the collective and get to know each other a little before the start.

The retreat starts at 5pm on the day of arrival on 19th June. We’ll gather in the yoga shala or outside for our welcoming circle and ceremony, followed by a grounding yoga practice and dinner.
The retreat closes after our morning yoga class (this class will be extended longer to include a closing circle) and brunch on the last day of the retreat. Check out is at 11am on 25th June.

A yoga retreat is a great place to learn yoga! This retreat is suitable for all levels of experience and everyone is welcome with much love. We will offer variations and props to support each individual during the practice.

Of course not! The retreat is fully customisable so you can do as much or as little as you like.

Absolutely. Yoga retreats are perfect for solo travellers. You will make new friends and meet like-minded people. You can choose to share a room with another solo traveller and we will match you up according to your age and gender.

As much as we love kids, sorry this retreat is adults only. Teenagers over 15 are welcome but must pay adult price.

In June, Portugal has warm, sunny, and dry weather, with average daytime temperatures from 20-26°C (68-79°F), making it ideal for outdoor activities and beach visits. You can expect around 10 hours of sunshine daily, minimal rainfall, and pleasant, mild evenings.
